Away

Away luggage was an instant hit when it popped onto the travel scene a few years ago. The cool polycarbonate suitcases were light, durable and easy to roll. Even when their built-in charging batteries became TSA non-compliant shortly after launch, the company handled the issue so seamlessly it made people love them even more. Now fans can personalize an array of Away luggage and accessories. For the Carry-On with Pocket, The Bigger Carry-On with Pocket and the Kids’ Carry-On, you can choose up to three letters in a variety of colors and shadow colors, and a team of artists will paint them on by hand in Away’s SoHo studio. You can also have three letters engraved on the Aluminum Edition suitcases and embroidered on The Daypack, The Backpack, The Everywhere Bag and The Dopp Kit. Want more than three? Order as many leather letter stickers as you want in fun choices like Fast, Prism and Disco and apply them yourself.

Tecovas

Tecovas is known for the quality of its classic cowboy boots. Like Away, Tecovas only sells directly to the consumer, enabling the company to offer a superior product at an affordable price. Now Tecovas is offering travelers this craftsmanship and value with its Weekender Duffle. Made of the same semi-vegetable-tanned bovine leather as its handmade boots (it takes 200 steps to make a pair), the duffle, which comes in two sizes, “fits everything you need for a three- to six-day getaway (including your trusty boots).” Antique brass hardware and a green cotton canvas lining give the bags a timeless look, and you can safeguard your valuables in a zippered pocket and three interior pockets.

Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton has a new line of lightweight, waterproof and durable soft-shell rolling duffels, Horizon Soft. Industrial designer Marc Newson developed a stretchy thermoformed 3-D knit material for the exterior that maximizes the interior volume while minimizing weight. Other thoughtful features include a double-zip closing system and a wide U opening, making it easy to access your things, a TSA padlock system that can be opened and closed with one hand, and zippered pockets on the inside and out. In a nod to LV’s iconic brand and golden-age-of-travel past, Newson has styled the luggage with a jacquard pattern, his interpretation of Louis Vuitton’s Monogram, and covered the external cane handle in cowhide. Choose from several colors and two or four whisper wheels.
