Changes include enhanced regional focus. Additionally, AGCS captive solutions team is being integrated into the multinational business.
Agrees to buy primary-care clinic operator and telemedicine provider 1Life Healthcare (dba One Medical) for $3.9 billion. One Medical operates more than 180 practices in the United States and provides in-person and virtual healthcare to employees at more than 8,000 companies. The move to buy employee healthcare access follows a failed attempt at creating a healthcare company, called Haven, with JPMorgan Chase and Berkshire Hathaway. One Medical CEO Amir Dan Rubin will be CEO of the acquired unit, which will become part of Amazon Care.
Hires Jeff Duncan as EVP for commercial lines, based in Boston. He moves from Liberty Mutual and replaces Bruce Sanderson, who was appointed EVP for North American field operations.
