Acquires Carolinas-based firms Hunt Benefits & Associates and Tenaglia & Associates, doing business as the Hunt Financial Group. Hunt Financial Group specializes in benefits for banking industry clients. The Hunt Financial Group team will continue working out of its existing offices. >> Buys Shelby Township, Mich.-headquartered 3D Advisors, which provides life insurance, annuity, and long-term care solutions for financial advisors. Current 3D Advisors leaders and their team will stay on post-acquisition. >> Purchases Washington, Pa.-based B&W Insurance Agency, a personal and commercial lines brokerage. Gallagher will retain B&W leadership and team under its U.S. property and casualty operations for small business and personal insurance. >> Acquires, through its U.S. wholesale brokerage, binding authority, and programs division Risk Placement Services, Agoura Hills, Calif.-based S Philips Surety & Insurance Services, which focuses on surety bonds for West Coast agents and brokers. The S Philips team will be brought under RPS’s surety bond operations. >> Makes two acquisitions in Bremen, Germany: claims services firm Reck, through subsidiary Gallagher Bassett, and Krose. Reck specializes in global transport and marine claims, and its team will be brought under Gallagher Bassett’s Europe, Middle East, and Asia operations. Krose, provider of commercial insurance and reinsurance solutions for corporate clients, will join Gallagher’s European brokerage operations.
Rolls out new specialty marine product for small-to-medium ocean marine risks, with limits of up to $25 million across the marine lines, including marine general liability, marine liabilities, hull/P&I, and excess marine liability. The product is backed by insurers Zurich North America, Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, and MS Transverse Insurance.
Renames Tapco Underwriters as CRC Tapco. CRC bought Burlington, N.C.-headquartered MGA Tapco Underwriters in 2008. >> Rolls out new Insurisk Assault & Battery Liability product, which offers dedicated assault and battery capacity and sexual misconduct and molestation liability coverages with no weapons exclusions, no sublimits, and no state or city exclusions. The product is written for apartments, homeowners associations, condominium owners associations, senior and assisted living facilities, and real estate.
Acquires Hong Kong-based Risk Management Insurance Brokerage, a specialist in employee benefits, property and casualty, transportation risks, and international programs. Current Risk Management Directors Bie Tong and Danny Yao will stay on to lead the business post-acquisition.
Names George Attard global head of analytics for Reinsurance Solutions. Attard will also continue in his role as chief strategy officer for the same division. Attard has more than 25 years of experience in the industry and joined Aon in 2008. >> Appoints North America CEO Lori Goltermann to the position of vice chair of Aon, effective March 31, 2026. Anne Corona, currently CEO of enterprise clients and global chief commercial officer, will replace Goltermann as North America CEO. Farheen Dam assumes the position of CEO of enterprise clients and chief client officer. >> Elevates Steve Schell to global life sciences industry leader, effective Feb. 16, 2026. Schell has worked at Aon since 2023, initially as senior vice president and enterprise client leader; prior to that, he worked at professional services firm EY for 23 years. >> Makes leadership appointments for its Greece and Cyprus reinsurance business. Dimitris Lymperis became regional CEO effective Feb. 16, 2026, replacing Manolis Siatounis; Evros Kyriakides became managing director as of the same date. >> Promotes Joe Peiser to CEO of Risk Capital, encompassing Aon’s Commercial Risk and Reinsurance Solutions divisions. Peiser’s career in the insurance industry began at Johnson & Higgins in 1996; prior to starting at Aon as commercial risk leader for North America in 2021, Peiser held leadership positions at Marsh, Brown & Brown, and WTW. >> Appoints Nicola Fraccalvieri as CEO of global facultative for Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions division, effective March 1, 2026. He will replace Andrew Laing, who is staying on as U.K. CEO of Reinsurance Solutions, a role he has held since July 2025. Fraccalvieri has three decades of insurance industry experience, starting at WTW and including leadership positions at Aon Benfield and Guy Carpenter.
Rolls out new nationwide Hospitality Practice, to be co-headed by Michelle Yuko, executive vice president and property broker in Satellite Beach, Fla., and Joey Shapiro, executive vice president and casualty broker in Chicago.
Acquires Laredo, Texas-based Laredo Commercial Insurance Agency, which specializes in commercial transportation insurance, especially for companies that work in cross-border transportation.
Announces five Q4 2025 acquisitions: Indianapolis, Ind.-based Merritt Hall; Liberty Corner, N.J.-headquartered Couch Braunsdorf Insurance Group; San Clemente, Calif.-based JXX Insurance Agency; Deerfield Beach, Fla., agency Bellwether; and Santa Ana, Calif.-headquartered Health Connect Insurance Agency. Merritt Hall, Couch Braunsdorf, JXX, and Bellwether all focus on property and casualty insurance solutions, while Health Connect specializes in employee benefits.
Appoints Amanda Crawford as the new state insurance commissioner, replacing Cassie Brown, who retired on Feb. 2. Crawford has nearly a quarter-century of public service experience, including as Texas general counsel and deputy attorney general, executive director of the Texas Department of Information Resources, and Texas chief information officer. Brown had served as commissioner since Sept. 7, 2021, appointed by Gov. Greg Abbott (R). Prior to assuming the position, Brown was commissioner of workers compensation at the Department of Insurance from 2018.
